A genius of science, mathematics and art, Leonardo da Vinci exemplifies the term Renaissance man. In celebration of the 500th anniversary of his passing visual artists from Liquid Video Solutions will wrap the hall in some of da Vinci’s most famous paintings and drawings, creating an immersive experience that will enhance the musical performance. One of the top percussion virtuosos of our time, Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic will perform Vivaldi’s dazzling Concerto in C Major arranged by Dame Evelyn Glennie. The CCO will also premiere a work by Zivkovic based on the famous hidden melody in da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” A grand finish to opening night will be highlights from Handel’s Water Music. You won’t want to miss this invigorating evening where music meets visual art.
