Approximately 60 minutes
For opera singer Miles Wilson-Toliver, the stage under his feet is a second home. Groomed in the church and trained by his vocal teachers since a youth, Toliver has developed a distinctive relationship with music. He performs with a purpose, using his inviting Baritone to challenge conventions of the centuries-old genre. From musical theatre classics to new operatic works, he considers each feature an opportunity to connect and heal through the arts, refreshing his audience’s experience of opera as they know it. As a teaching artist, he keeps young men under his tutelage with hopes of fostering their curiosity in opera music. His goal is to lead young men like him, who’ve found a spiritual and aural transaction in the classical arts and guide them to a life of full purpose, expression, and potential.
